Mahalo,
I’m writing this edition of The Writer Gal Letter listening to Adele’s Hometown Glory. 2021 really has been the year of the music queens taking their place back in the world. And, tbh, I find it so empowering watching these powerhouse women admit to making mistakes, cry over perceived failures, correct their courses and actions, and freaking level up by sheer will and grit.
Their lessons are going to be part of my TEDx Talk which I’m supposed to finalize this week but haven’t been able to wrap my head around. Working on SEVEN new releases and ALL 20+ of my old books has left me reeling and relishing how far I’ve come in this journey.
And I would like to, once again, take this opportunity to thank you, Postmate, for being with me - whether new or old - as I navigate the labyrinth and zeniths of this business of writing books!
Many revolutions are afoot for my books and I cannot wait to share them with you in 2022 and beyond.
Now onto the bookish tea!
Ruin’s Epilogue
I swear, Postmate, no book in my LIFE has given me so many fits and starts as Lena and Shane’s story. I know, I know I say this to you every single update but I cannot help but feel that, in 20 years, I’ll look back on this book’s journey and say, “This one made me the writer I am today.”
And it will be because I listened to you.
You said the ending is a bit short, there’s not enough Lena and Shane so I am writing a fitting epilogue to Shane and Lena’s journey from first love to hate to redemption and everlasting happy ever after. It’s going to be good and I’ll be adding it to the book itself and also send it here, in TWGL for you to read and enjoy.
If you’d like to catch up on this heartbreaking story till then, click on the shiny pink button and read it on KU.
How A Lightbulb Moment Gave Me a New Hero
As I’ve already shared with you, Postmate, I have been asked to write a Storytel Original - an audio-only romance for next year.
Being so wrapped up in the Bastard Billionaires has left me a little empty in the plotting department. But, the other day, when I was going out to shop for my TEDx Outfit (I’ll give you more updates on it when I figure out options!) a thought struck me out of nowhere.
What if the hero of this office hate rom-com was actually related to The Worst Daughter Ever’s Ben Dewar? He is geeky like Ben, he is quiet and unassuming like Ben and he begins as the heroine Niva’s mortal enemy!
The muse gods smiled on me once I got this idea and I am SO pleased to report I might actually be able to write this story this week!
I don’t have much more than a first-line for this book. But I’m sharing it with you.
“The actors have quit,” Rahil Dewar announced grimly.
“Why?” Niva shot back, snark evident in her tone. “Don’t they want to make easy money lying on their backs and pretending to be dead?”
Let me know if it’s good/bad/awful?!

Writer Gal Pal Gwyn McNamee’s new release is a hot Christmas romance called Holiday Fake Date. With that cover, that title and distinct rom-com feels, this one is a strong YES from me for a read. Gwyn was a solid rock to me as I navigated my author conference so I’m so pleased to host her new release on TWGL!
Next up is Cole Denton’s Switch. This one is hot, swoony, angsty as most of Cole’s books are. And this cover does not do justice to the heat! Get it now and thank me later :P
Last but not least is my dearest author friend, Mika Lane’s latest Why Choose romance in her bestselling and longgggg series! Her Dirty Detectives are smart, overprotective heroes crazy about the girl and willing to do it all for her!!! I can’t wait to dive into this one myself.
And here are a few other events I’m happy to share with you. If bad boys are your scene, and I know they are cuz you read me, check these out and get more heroes to swoon over! :)
That is it from me for this edition of The Writer Gal Letter. I’ll be writing in next month with more TEDx news and lots more bookish tea!
