I'm chaneling my grandma, Postmate!
A surprise but important release and You're Just Not My Type news!
Mahalo,
I’m listening to a super popular TikTok song, Those Eyes by New West as I write this edition of The Writer Gal Letter, Postmate. It’s full of yearning and sad and lovely all at the same time. I’m thinking of adding it to Crave’s soundtrack…lol.
But, before we get into Crave and all the things billionaire romantic suspense with a generous sprinkling of enemies to lovers’ marriage of convenience, there’s personal news to share!
We celebrated Mom’s birthday on the weekend and, there was cake to be had. Well, a salted caramel sticky brownie baked by my school friend who’s now a professional baker - and it was HEAVEN, Postmate! The whole of last week was lovely, perfection, and such a warm reminder of the power of love and family.
We’re still processing pictures from the weeklong celebrations - mom’s birthday, Kiddo’s grand entrance into our fam, Rakhi celebrations with my cousin brother, and more. So hold on for glimpses into happy times at Writer Gal’s Dream House.
Grandma, who stays with us, and is at 87, prepped one of the deserts Kiddo and my brother devoured - made from semolina, and, milk and sugar. It’s called Kesari and it’s a totally yummy and healthy sweet to make, Postmate. You can even add a slightly ripe banana to give it extra fluffiness (a tip my aunt taught me).
Speaking of Grandma, did I ever tell you she’s a prolific crochet artist? Here’s a small sample of all the many projects she’s made in just the last eight months of us moving to the new home.
Like I keep telling mom, ‘One day she’s going to cover us in wool and thread when we’re sleeping.’ :D But, the truth is, Postmate, I wish I had her energy and dedication and sheer grit to just keep finishing project upon project with the same care and artistry and SPEED every single time. Clearly, she’s a marvel and way better an artist than me.
So, I am channeling her speed and creativity for a very special and important release that’s happening in September, Postmate.

Postmate, I can’t gush about this publicly but like I’m actually appearing in a project with women I have long admired and read stories - Rachel Van Dyken, Trilliana Pucci, Skye Warren, Willow Winters, KA Linde (who was so kind to me during the first Romance Author Mastermind Conference back in 2021), Helena freaking HUNTING (whose Shattered Truths I’m DEVOURING even as I write this edition of TWGL) and more…It’s a small but important professional achievement for me.
And I am so thrilled to be able to contribute to an important cause like rebuilding after the Maui wildfires! I hope you consider pre-ordering this anthology and read my contribution (which is a direct callback to what’s happening in Crave, Postmate!)

You’re Just Not My Type’s paperback is now available worldwide, Postmate. So everywhere Amazon sells paperbacks and Notion Press in India - there you shall have Max and Niva’s hot and sweet and no third-act breakup love story! And I am so freaking proud of myself for doing this within release month - while the book is still top 100 in India and STILL doing incredibly well in the US and Canada!
I hope you are too. And you get YJNMT in print with this deliciously freaking cute cover!
The print edition is on sale at 25% off so grab them now! Amazon prices are already discounted and you can add the discount coupon - YJNMTRELEASE25 - at checkout to get the book at 25% off!
I am still working on the paperbacks of Burn, Blaze, and Tempt as well as the India edition of Claim. Just gimme a bit more time. Since I’m also on deadline for Aloha and, like, seriously revising the Geeks series to make it first-person-friendly. :D
It’s been a hecking good month, Postmate. And I’m not ready for it to end. So let’s make September (which is now tinged with grief for me) a great month full of delicious reads and even more Writer Gal goodness, okay?
Till next time,
Stay cheery and eat cake.
Xx
