Mahalo,
I’m writing this edition of The Writer Gal Letter listening to Tumbling Lights by The Acid. It has definitely made its way into the Tempt playlist which now has 15K words in! Lulu and I are hard at work.
Speaking of, meet Lulu!
I was due for a laptop change in July 2021 and it took me just another 18 months to decide to give up the ghost on Ben, my Lenovo workhorse. A slower laptop did NOT help my productivity or the urge to write all the words. Lesson. Learned. :P We need smooth machines in order to do our best work and nothing is as smooth as this MacBook Air.
This is why, now your girl ALSO wakes up almost two hours earlier than before and spends an hour exercising and working out. As a consequence, I am able to keep the aches and pains of sitting at a workstation to a minimum and write ALMOST 15000 words on the next Ruthless Billionaires’ release :D I will have some SUPER exciting updates for you by the next newsletter. (Note, how I said will instead of hope to? That is because of these massive lifestyle changes I’ve executed FINALLY!)
Now that we have all the Tempt and Life tea out of the way, let’s get down to the Book Club freebies for this month, shall we?
The Kissing 💋 Books Club February Offering
This month’s TKBC book is a yummylicious romance by Danika Bloom. It’s called Her Seasoned Delivery and it has a cranky heroine with a secret craving and the only chef in all of Canada who can…satisfy her. Cool, huh?
So smash that pink button and get this month’s freebie, yeah?

All I had to do was make it through the last two months of my so-called ‘geriatric’ pregnancy and it would have been smooth sailing from there. Bedrest? That was not part of the IVF treatment contract. Nor was the clam smoothie craving that only one restaurant in the city could satisfy—but refused to blend for take-out or delivery. These twins are going to eat me alive before they even have birth certificates.

Some kids are born with a silver spoon in their mouth—I was born with a silver spatula in my hand, the namesake of three generations of executive chefs in the only Michelin star-rated restaurant in Canada. But one lousy heart attack took that all away. Now I’m richer than Colonel Sanders with as much purpose in life as a broken wishbone. Until a gorgeous woman with a desperate desire for a secret recipe, and someone to make it for her, virtually lands in my lap.
The Romantic Suspense Co-op February Offering
This month’s offering from the Romantic Suspense Co-op is the awesome PJ Fiala’s Heart Thief from her Bluegrass Security series. I love every single thing about what I just wrote, including this protective alpha hero vibes’ cover!
Check it out. Then hit the shiny pink button and grab PJ’s book, kay?
One stubborn military man. Plus one feisty Army chick. Equals an explosion of power, passion, and crime.
Retired and embittered military officer, Levi Jacobson is content running a small-town security business without anyone's help. After all, he can't trust anyone—especially women. But when the town suffers a slew of robberies, Levi hires out-of-town help that changes everything.
The last thing Sage Reynolds wants is to move to a tiny town to solve a series of burglaries. But with her bills piling up, she takes what she can get. Meeting her sexy, yet chauvinistic, new boss infuriates and ignites her. She refuses to be patronized by a cranky man. And Levi's determined to keep her at arm's length. But as the mysteries unfold, so does their resolve. Can they uncover the thieves before their hearts get stolen too?
Alright, Postmate, that is all I have for this edition of TWGL. I’ll return super duper soon with the winner of the giveaway (you can check the previous edition of TWGL for deets)
and news re: Tempt!
Till then, stay safe, awesome, and healthy.
