I give you Beginnings (A Burn/Blaze epilogue short story)

It’s been a whole-ass year (more than since Burn came out in May 2022) so I’m just sharing a tiny refresher on the Ruthless Billionaires and their better halves who make an appearance in this story.

Nihaal’s a Formula One racing god poised on the eve of greatness when tragic news summons him back to small-town India - Alipur. There, he clashes with Mili, a lawyer-fixer with a mysterious agenda who is intent on helping him with a billion-dollar inheritance. Nihaal’s got a younger sister, Pehel, who is also affected by the tragic news and she deals with it in her own way by leaning on Nashit, her much older, brooding best friend. There’s the most Ruthless Billionaire of them all - Drake Fallahil who is forced to blackmail a young MBA student to marry him for…reasons. And Mili’s cousin Krivi Iyer, a lethal man with dangerous skills who is now a mild hotel owner with a happy family.

Alright, you are now caught up with whatever I can share about the books without majorly spoiling them.

NOTE: You can read Beginnings - my short story in Aloha - without reading any of the previous books. But reading them will enhance your understanding of the Ruthless Billionaires’ world and the Aarti-verse! Beginnings takes place after the events in Blaze (Nihaal-Mili) and during Tempt (Nashit-Pehel).

I shrugged. “I could be…persuaded. If you…” I recalled the exact phrase the author had used in the book. “STFUATTDLAGG.”

My jaw dropped. As I suddenly understood what the phrase meant, especially when paired in context of servicing a Jacob’s ladder.

“Good fucking God, Mili.” My face heated up at the graphic image forming in my head of two faceless people going at it in a men’s club. “What are you reading?”

She grinned again, secretively. Seductively. “Something fun. Escapist.” Tapped on the book with a nude-painted nail. “Educational.”
